Paul Vitrod (Paul Whitrod) began studying Southern Praying Mantis style with 15 years of Grandmaster Ip Chee Kühn (Yip Chee Keung), son of a famous master Yip Shuya (Yip Shui). Four years later, Yip Chee Kyun returned from London to Hong Kong and from there sent the invitation to come and Vitrodu continue their education. Vitrod arrived in Hong Kong and settled in the house Yip Chi Kuhn, was an internal student of the school. Paul was trained as a Yip Chi Kuhn and his father Yip Shuya.
